Service NSW has advised that from 29 February 2024, the L2P app will no longer be accepted to record learner driver log book hours.

Learners using the L2P app who will not sit their test prior to 29 February 2024 are advised to visit a Service NSW Centre with the following:

1. The paper log book you were originally issued. If you no longer have the paper log book, Service NSW can issue on to you at no cost; AND

(a) A PDF export of your completed driving hours from the L2P app; OR

(b) The device where the L2P app is installed to show your completed driving hours.

You may need to provide evidence of completed learning goals or credited hours from a Safer Drivers Course if applicable.

Service NSW will transfer the recorded hours into your paper log book. Learner drivers are then to continue to record hours in the paper log book.

There are 2 other log book apps currently approved by Service NSW. They are unaffected by this change and remain available for use. They are:

  • Licence Ready learner log book app

  • Roundtrip learner log book app

For further information or assistance, visit your local Service NSW Centre.
